Location is the single biggest indicator of value when talking about real estate. All real estate agents will tell you that nine times out of ten, a home’s location is the reason it sells. Real estate agents often hold open houses to generate a buzz about a home that is on the market. Real estate agents usually provide refreshments to visitors while they answer questions about the home. Unfortunately, even though agents put in a great deal of work to make their open houses successful, sometimes people just don’t show up. This can be demoralizing to the agent because a no show means hours of hard work and preparation were ineffective.
NO MORE NO SHOWS!
Vinyl banners are an agent’s best friend when that agent is holding an open house. Vinyl banners are easy to transfer and store easily in the back of any car, truck or van. You can also personalize a your message on a custom banner. A real estate agent can design her custom banner to mention not only that there is an upcoming open house, but also her name, phone number and website address. Real estate agents must remember, however, that the location where the vinyl banner is displayed is also important. In the following paragraphs, I am going to discuss three highly effective locations for displaying an open house vinyl banner.
NUMBER ONE: ON A MAIN ROAD CLOSE TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Unfortunately, people get lost on their way to open houses all the time. The more people that see the open house print banner, the higher the likelihood of a positive turnout. For a quick display, attach metal poles to either end of the custom banner. If you are a real estate agent and are currently planning an open house for one of your listings, I highly recommend you take some time to scope out a busy intersection near your listing and plan to plant a vinyl banner beside that intersection the day before your open house. Be sure to include the date and time of the open house on your custom banner!
NUMERO DOS: AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Again, this is a no brainer. Urban sprawl in the recent past has led to the advent of thousands of new subdivisions. Real estate agents are finding that when selling a home, they must first sell a potential buyer on the neighborhood. Custom banners are great for helping open house attendees identify where the open home is located. Just as you did at the busy intersection, scope out a spot near the entrance to the neighborhood, attach your vinyl banner to a pair of metal poles and set up your display a day or so before the open house.
#3: ON THE FRONT OF THE HOUSE
This really is a simple concept. And, lucky for you, your local vinyl banner maker will gladly punch a couple of holes into your custom banner and insert grommets so that your banner can easily be hung from most any object. All you have to do for your open house is tie some nylon string through the holes on either end of your custom banner and hang the banner from the front of the house. It’s that simple!
SELL THAT HOUSE!
Now that you are armed with some seriously valuable real estate information, you should have no trouble attracting curious onlookers into your open house and generating buzz about your listing. Go make that sale!
